Activity Books Assembly Service Day

Thank you to our 22 volunteers who helped assemble 40 Activity Books at our first ever Activity Books Assembly Service Day! 📚💚
In 2024, we started a partnership with Listos Learning. Listos Learning is led by Eva, an HFK alumni that has felt “the eternal joy of service” through two separate International Service Trips when she was in college!
Since our partnership began, our trip participants have used these English/Spanish bilingual Activity Books to interact with the kids we serve. After using the books on our trips, we donate them to our partner ministries so they can continue to use them at schools, residential homes, churches, and more!
Listos Learning donates unassembled books to HFK, so we created a Local Service Opportunity for people to help assemble the books and learn more about HFK as we approach our service season. Check out a recap of the event below!
We were able to host this event at Reality SF as we are one of their Global Partners. Thank you Reality, we are grateful for your partnership and blessed to be able to host this event in your beautiful space!
As the first few people arrived, they got straight to work on assembling the books! As more came, we filled up three tables, each with all the materials necessary to complete the assembly of the books.
We also wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to share more about HFK and ways people can stay involved. So, once everyone arrived, we asked them all to continue working on the books while we gave a short presentation on HFK which included:

People continued to enjoy each other's company, eat the food we provided, and finish assembling the books! Some even stayed beyond the 2 hours to continue chatting with each other and ask questions about HFK!
It was a blessing to provide this space for people to serve, connect, have some dinner, and learn more about ways to stay connected with HFK! We are very thankful for the support of everyone present and for God’s protection over these partnerships. This was yet another opportunity for our HFK family to do local service which will lead to global impact.
