PARTNER SUPPORT
This team will serve alongside Roblealto Child Care Association as we learn about their ministry and the impact they have in their community. During our time together, team members will interact with the kids from the homes and school, the ministry staff, the house parents, and the local community that our partners serve. We will also provide financial and physical support to further aid in their year-round ministry.
Here is a short video about our partners and their mission. You can see two of our HFK teams at 1:48 and 2:37!
TEAM CAPTAINS
Your Team Captains for this trip will be Ana Mendoza & Katia Berrocal Perlacios. Here is a message from them:
English:
¡Hola! We are Katia Berrocal and Ana Mendoza and we are so excited to be the co-captains for the Costa Rica summer trip this 2024.Katia is a proud Peruvian who has passion to serve children and learn from all different cultures. She lives in Sunnyvale, CA. Ana is a Saint Mary’s College Alumni and lives in Santa Clara, CA with her dog, Mila :) We are both bilingual teachers in San Jose, CA and this will be our second trip with HFK. We traveled to Peru this past summer and we are fortunate to have had this incredible opportunity to learn from the culture and serve the children. We both share a love for dancing, music, and learning from other cultures.
An experience that we both cherished from HFK is the amazing workshops that we participated in, such as pastry classes, and cultural dance exchange. Most importantly, we had the opportunity to get to know the children and their caretakers more by interacting with them during dinner and through activities like art and sports. We hope to provide a life changing opportunity for you all. If you are interested in serving and having a transformational experience, this is the trip for you! We Look forward to serving with you and embarking on an adventure to Costa Rica!
